What made you want to become a doula and birth educator?

I’m fascinated by the world of birth and the awe that surrounds it. Birth professionals who have spent the entirety of their careers in this field are constantly surprised by the outcomes. There’s so much to know about this journey that should be common knowledge and I feel our society keeps from us. The decision to start teaching was born through witnessing people seeking more in this process. I could talk about birth, babies, and how life changes all day long and not get sick of it. I love it and find such honor in sharing more with those who want to hear!

Who are your favorite clients?

My favorite clients are those who unexpectedly surprise themselves with their own strength and intuition. They do the work to challenge themselves by learning more and as a result birth a new version of themselves through the birth process.

Is there anything you do professionally outside the world of birth?

I coach competitive swimming to kids! I’ll forever be intrigued by the mind and body connection and the amazing things the human body can do.

If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

I love all kinds of Asian food but love sushi! Uni sashimi anyone?

If you got a whole day to yourself and you could be anywhere in the world, what would you be doing and with who?

I’m a beach lover living in the wrong state! I would love to travel back to Caye Caulker, Belize with my family to swim in coral reefs and enjoy the warm beach and sun all day!
